vocab words for science

QuestionAnswer
What is science? a way of learning about the natural world.
What is observing? using one or more of your senses to gather information.
What are quantitative observations? deal with a number or amount.
What are qualitative observations? deal with descriptions that cannot be expressed in numbers.
What is inferring? When you interpret or explain the things you observe.
What is Predicting? making a forecast of what will happen in the future based on past experience or evidence.
What is classifying? the process of grouping together items that are alike in some way.
What is Making Models? involves creating representatives of complex objects or processes.
What is life science? is the study of living things.
