QuestionAnswer
Bachelors Degree Four Year Degree from a College or University
Masters Degree An Advanced Degree Beyond a Bachelors degree
PhD. or Doctorate Degree Highest college degree awarded. You need this to be a professor.
FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Advanced Placement Class High School Class that is more challenging and offers a national test at the end of the class that allows you to compete with students around the country.
Advanced Placement Exam The test offered at the end of an AP class. Good scores increase your chances to get into college and some colleges grant you college credit for good scores.
Student Loan A loan from a bank or the federal government that allows you to pay for college. Loans must be paid back.
Federal Grant Money from the federal government that is give on a "need" basis. Does not need to be paid back.
Scholarship Money from private organizations or colleges given based on achievement.
College an institution of higher learning, esp. one providing a general or liberal arts education rather than technical or professional training
