QuestionAnswer
Empirical Empirical evidence is the information obtained through observation and documentation of certain behavior and patterns or through an experiment.
Theory an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events.
Law a statement that describes an observable occurrence in nature that appears to always be true.
Experiment a procedure carried out to support or refute a hypothesis, or determine the efficacy or likelihood of something previously untried.
Hypothesis an idea or explanation that you then test through study and experimentation.
Dependent variable what you measure in the experiment and what is affected during the experiment.
Observation an act of recognizing and noting a fact or occurrence often involving measurement with instruments.
Independent variable a variable that stands alone and isn't changed by the other variables you are trying to measure.
Data information such as facts and numbers used to analyze something or make decisions.
Model a person or thing that serves as a subject for an artist, sculptor, writer, etc.
Engineering the application of science and math's to solve problems.
Technology the application of conceptual knowledge to achieve practical goals, especially in a reproducible way
Prototype wireframes, slides, landing pages, working models, an interactive frontend, and videos.
Trade-off a decision where you must give up, or sacrifice, one thing in order to achieve another.
Risk benefit analysis the systematic evaluation of the risks and benefits associated with the intake of substances present in foods or diets
life cycle analysis a systematic analysis of environmental impact over the course of the entire life cycle of a product, material, process, or other measurable activity.
Pugh chart a type of Matrix Diagram [1] that allows for the comparison of a number of design candidates leading ultimately to which best meets a set of criteria.
