Nature of Science
These are terms that pertain to scientific method and nature of science
| Term | Definition |

| Analyze | To look closely at information or results to understand what they mean. |
| Variable | Something that can change in an experiment. |
| Independent Variable | The one thing you change on purpose in an experiment |
| Dependent Variable | What you measure or observe to see how it changes. |
| Hypothesis | A smart guess about what you think will happen. |
| Scientific Method | A step-by-step way scientists ask questions and find answers. |
| Control Group | The part of an experiment that doesn’t change, so you can compare results. |
| Conclusions | What you learn or decide after looking at the results. |
| Observation | Using your senses (see, hear, touch, smell, taste) to notice things. |
| Procedure | The steps you follow to do an experiment |
| Experiment | A test you do to find out if your idea is right. |
| Interpret | To explain what the results mean. |
| Investigation | A careful search to find out the truth. |
| Control | The part of an experiment that stays the same. |
| Data (results) | The facts, numbers, or information you collect. |
| Predictions | What you think will happen in the future, based on what you know. |
