NAs are considered mandated reporters
what does being a mandated reporter mean for a nursing assistant legally required to report abuse or suspected abuse
MANDATED REPORTERS people who are required to report suspected or observed abuse or neglect because they have regular contact with vulnerable populations (such as elderly in long term care facilities)
what should the NA do if abuse is suspected or observed give the nurse as much information as possible.
