describe code of ethics code of ethics differ but all revolve around the idea that a resident, patient, or client is a valuable person who deserves ethical care
1st sample formal code of ethics for nursing students I will strive to provide and maintain the highest quality of care for all residents. I will fully recognize and follow all Residents Rights
2nd I will communicate well, serve on committees and read all material as provided and required by my employer. I will attend educational in services and join organizations relevant to nursing assistant care
3rd I will demonstrate a positive attitude with all residents, their family members ,staff, and other visitors
4th I will always provide privacy for all residents. I will maintain confidentiality of resident, staff and visitor information
5th i will be trustworthy and honest in all dealing with residents, staff and visitors
6th I will strive to preserve resident safety. I will report mistakes I make along with anything that I deem dangerous , to the right person
7th I will have empathy for all residents, staff members, and visitors giving support and encouragement when needed
8th I will respect all people, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, race, ethnicity, economic situation, or diagnosis
9th I will never abuse residents in any way. I will always report any suspected abuse to the proper person immediately
10th I will be patient with all people at my facility
how must nursing assistants identify themselves nursing assistants must never identify themselves as nurses. (the term nurse should not be used lightly)
what have nurses earned that nursing assistants havent nurses have had more education and training than NAs , and they have different responsibilites
why should an NA not call themselves a nurse an NA calling herself a nurse could result in injury to the NA or others, a lawsuit, and or the NA being fired from his job
