Rocks/Minerals

QuestionAnswer
Mineral A single element formed in nature and has never been alive.
Rock Cycle The process by which rocks are changed from one kind to another.
Igenous Rock A rock that is formed when melted rock (magma, lava) cools and hardens.
Metamorphic Rock A rock that is formed when heat and pressure feep in the Earth change the rock.
Sedimentary Rock A rock that is formed by layers of sediment being cemented together over time. Usually has visible layers. Most fossils are found in sedimentary rock.
