TermDefinition
Myosin and actin proteins essential for muscle contraction and various cellular movements
Nerve Signaling the process by which nerve cells (neurons) communicate with each other and with other cells in the body to transmit information
CNS It refers to the part of the nervous system that consists of the brain and spinal cord
PNS the part of the nervous system that is outside of the brain and spinal cord
ANS It controls things like heart rate, digestion, and breathing.
Endocrine Gland a type of gland within the endocrine system that produces and releases hormones directly into the bloodstream
Heart and Blood The heart is a muscular organ that acts as a pump, circulating blood throughout the body
