Enema is a procedure in which liquid is introduced into the rectum to stimulate a bowel movement or relieve constipation.
Warm and Cold Applications Warm applications (heating pad) help increase blood flow, relax muscles, and ease stiffness or discomfort. Cold applications (like ice packs or cold compresses) reduce inflammation, numb pain, and slow blood flow to an area, which helps decrease swelling.
Condom Catheter a type of external urinary catheter used for males. It looks like a condom and is placed over the penis to collect urine, which then drains into a connected leg bag or bedside bag.
Urinary Drainage Bag is a medical device used to collect urine from the bladder, typically through a catheter. It is commonly used for individuals who cannot control urination or are immobile.
Blood Pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps. It is measured and recorded with two numbers:A normal BP reading is around 120/80 mm Hg. High or low blood pressure can be signs of health issues.
Pulse is the rhythmic throbbing of the arteries as blood is pumped through them by the heart. It reflects the heart rate, or how many times the heart beats per minute (bpm).
Respirations refer to the process of breathing — the inhalation (inhaling oxygen) and exhalation (exhaling carbon dioxide). It is measured as the number of breaths a person takes in one minute. Normal adult respiratory rate: 12 to 20 breaths per minute
Normal Ranges blood pressure 120/80 mm Hg, pulse 60–100 beats per minute, respiration 12–20 breaths per minute, and temperature 97.6°F to 99.6°F (36.5°C to 37.5°C).
