Discuss de-escalation of a resident that is agitated or cognitively impaired; as well as staying safe the nurse aide remains calm, speaks softly, uses simple words, avoids sudden movements, and maintains a safe distance to protect both the resident and themselves.
Discuss nurse Aides awareness of Self Behaviors must be aware of their own behaviors and reactions to remain calm, professional, and provide effective, respectful care to residents.
