What is the nurse aide role in written and electronic recording? is to accurately and promptly record all care provided and observations in the written or electronic system, following facility guidelines and maintaining resident confidentiality.
Be familiar with the medical record a legal document that contains all information about a resident’s health, care, and treatment, and it must be kept confidential.
What is HIPAA? a federal law that protects the privacy and security of a person's health information
What does HIPPA stand for? Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
what is the Nurse Aide role in reporting? is to promptly and accurately report any changes in a resident’s condition, concerns, or incidents to the nurse
What is the difference between objective and subjective data? is information you can see, hear, touch, or measure (like vital signs, is what the resident tells you they feel (like pain or nausea).
What things should the nurse Aide report to the nurse immediately? any changes in resident condition, signs of pain, injury, abnormal vital signs, difficulty breathing, or complaints of chest pain or sudden confusion.
