| PMP Reporting Responsibilities | Each time a CS is dispensed, the dispenser must transmit no later than the next business day For hospitals. any discharge or outpatient Rx exceeding 72 hour quantity must be reported in a similar timeframe |
| Methamphetamine Precursor Control Act | EPH/PSE: Max 7500mg within any 30 day period. Can't knowingly purchase more than one convenience package within 24hrs, or > 2 packages containing PSE/EPH per transaction |
| Hypodermic Syringes and Needles Act | Pharmacist may sell up to 100 sterile hypodermic syringes or needles to a person who is at least 18 years old. May only be sold from the pharmacy department. |
| Epinephrine Injector Act | HC Practitioner may prescribe/RPh may dispense epi injectors in the name of an authorized entity. Rx is valid for 2 years. Authorize entity acquires a stock of undesignated epi injectors for good faith tx of anaphylaxis. + naloxone, glucagon, albuterol |
| Medication Takeback Program | Sign developed by the Agency must be clearly posted at the location. For disposal records, a hardcopy printout must be provided to the Agency, upon request, within 48hrs. These records must be maintained for 3 calendar years after date of acceptance |
| Prior Authorization | Within 72 hrs after receipt of a paper or electronic PA form from a prescriber or pharmacist, they must approve or deny the claim. In cases of expedited coverage determination, 24 hr time limit after receipt of PA form. Doesn't apply to Medicare/Medicaid |
