| Calorie | a unit of energy that measures the amount of energy food provides to the body. |
| Carbohydrates | are nutrients that provide the body with a primary source of energy. |
| Dehydration | occurs when the body loses more fluids than it takes in, leading to a lack of enough water for normal function. |
| Dysphagia | difficulty swallowing, which can increase the risk of choking or aspiration. |
| Fats | are nutrients that provide energy, help the body absorb vitamins, and support cell growth. |
