Belittle to make someone or something seem less important or less valuable
Cliché an overused expression or idea that has lost its originality or impact.
Cultural sensitivity The awareness and respect of cultural differences, and the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Culture a system of shared beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, and artifacts that members of a society use to understand their world and relate to one another.
Demeanor a person's outward behavior, appearance, or manner, especially as it reflects their attitude or personality.
Gait the manner or style of a person's walking.
Liaison a person who acts as a link or communicator between individuals or groups to ensure cooperation and coordination.
Non-verbal communication the transmission of messages or information without using words, through gestures, facial expressions, posture, eye contact, tone of voice, and body language.
Paraphrase to restate someone else's spoken or written words using your own words, while keeping the original meaning.
Prejudice a preconceived, often negative, opinion or feeling about a person or group based on stereotypes rather than actual experience.
Slang informal language made up of words or phrases used by particular groups that may not be understood by everyone.
Therapeutic Communication is purposeful, respectful interaction used by healthcare workers to support patients’ emotional and physical well-being.
Verbal Communication the use of spoken or written words to share information or express thoughts and feelings.
