| Capillary Action | water seems to climb up small tubes due to adhesion |
| Cohesion | the property of water that causes it to stick to itself |
| Compound | a pure substance made by chemically combining two or more elements; represented by a chemical formula |
| Corrosive | that can break down other substances |
