Coronal plane Divides the body into front and back; Anterior and posterior
Catabolism Process in metabolism where larger molecules are broken down into smaller molecules, releasing energy in the process.
Exocrine gland A gland that makes substances such as: sweat, tears, saliva, milk…releases them through a duct
Axial skeleton Contains the bones of the skull, trunk and vertebrae
Appendicular Skeleton Made up of bones in the limbs
Zygomatic process Attachment of the temporal fascia
Proximal Nearer to the center of the body or point of attachment
Distal Away from the center of the body or point of attachment
Superior Toward the head or upper part of the body
Lateral Away from the midline of the body
