QuestionAnswer
Mineral A single element formed in nature and has never been alive.
Rock Cycle The process by which rocks are changed from one kind to another.
Igneous rock A rock that is formed when melted rock (magma, lava) cools and hardens.
Metamorphic rock A rock that is formed when great heat and pressure deep in the Earth change a rock.
Sedimentary Rock Rock that is formed by layers of sediment being cemented together over time. Usually has visible layers. Most Fossils are found in Sedimentary rock.
