QuestionAnswer
Transparent A type of material that transmits light without scattering it.
translucent a type of material that scatters light as it passes through
opaque a type of material that reflects or absorbs all of the light that strikes
Diffuse reflection Reflection that occurs when parallel light rays hit and uneven surface and all reflect at different angles
convex A mirror that curves outward or lens that is thicker in the center then at the edges
focal point the point at which light rays parallel to the optical axis meet, after being reflected (or refraction) by mirror (or lens).
concave A mirror with a surface that curves inward or a lens that is thinner at the center than at the edges
