| Base Bid | Dollar amount of the GC scope of in a construction bid |
| Bid documents | A bidding package that includes an invitation to bid, the process and requirements to submit a bid |
| Bulletin | Formally issuance of changes to the construction documents after the contract |
| Certificate of occupancy | issued by local government agency or building dept certifying a buildings compliance with applicable building codes and laws |
| Change order request | A proposed change, together with a price for the change order. From the contractor for the owner |
| Completion, Substantial | A specific date, or percentage of the work agreed upon the architect |
| Conceptual Design | Rough layout of building |
| Construction Document phase | Final drawing, specifications of bidding documents |
| Control Joint | Controls the expansion movement in a concrete slab |
