Mitosis

What is Interphase? Interphase is a large part of the cell cycle. This is where the cell grows and the DNA multiplies.
Explain the Growth phase. The growth phase is the phase where the cell goes under intense growth and cell division. Many organelles divide into two here.
Explain Synthesis Phase. In this phase, the DNA is replicated.
What is Mitosis? Mitosis is a smaller part of the cell cycle. This is where the nucleus of the cell parts into two.
What is Prophase? Prophase is when the DNA that is replicated forms chromosomes.
What is Metaphase? Metaphase is when the chromosomes form a line in the middle and the centrioles reach in towards the middle to each side of the chromosomes.
What is Anaphase? Anaphase is when the chromosomes separate and go towards the centrioles, which are one opposite side.
What is Telophase? Telophase is when the two centrioles become nucleolus and the nucleus starts to separate.
What is Cytokinesis? Cytokinesis is when the two nucleus finally separates.
What is Apoptosis? Apoptosis is a type of cell death. These cells are used to kill unwanted cells. Can kill cancer cells.
What are Cancer cells? Cancer cells are cells that are not normal. These cells multiply uncontrollable, causing many diseases.
What is a Tumor? A tumor is a mass of tissue caused by cells that should be dying but are not dying instead are multiplying uncontrollably.
