Diffusion Diffusion is the natural movement of particles from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration, due to random molecular motion
Osmosis movement of water molecules from high concentration of water to low concentration
Permeable allows any molecules to diffuse across membrane
Semi permeable allows certain molecules to diffuse across membrane
non permeable allows no molecules to diffuse across membrane
nucleus controls all activities of the cell growth and reproduction
cell membrane allows certain molecules to go in or out of the cell/molecules
cell wall supports and protects the cell down allow molecules in or out
chromosomes proteins that contains DNA which has coded information for making molecules
RER produces and stores proteins
SER produces and stores fats and oils
Golgi Bodies modifies and packages proteins from rough ER with enzymes
Ribosomes helps Rough ER make proteins is attached to rough ER
Centrioles helps with cell division
mitochondria converts sugar into energy for the cell
cytoplasms fluid in the cell allows organelles to move around
vacuoles stores water minerals and vitamins
lysomes breaks down food invading bacteria
chloroplasts uses sunlight to make it own food
