Human reproduction and development maintains continuity of life.

reproduction The process by which living things make new individuals, ensuring the survival of their species.
structures Parts of an organism, like organs or tissues, that have specific shapes and functions.
function The job or role that a structure or part of an organism performs.
embryonic development The process where a fertilized egg grows and changes into an embryo, forming the early stages of a new organism.
environmental factors Elements in the surroundings that can affect living things, like temperature, light, and nutrients.
female The sex of an organism that typically produces eggs and can give birth to offspring.
gametes Reproductive cells (sperm and eggs) that combine during fertilization to form a new organism.
ovaries Female reproductive organs that produce eggs and hormones like estrogen.
internal fertilization The process where sperm fertilizes an egg inside the female's body.
embryo The early stage of development for a new organism, starting from a fertilized egg.
fetus The stage of development after the embryo, where the organism grows and develops inside the mother's womb.
uterus The organ in female mammals where the fetus develops during pregnancy.
placenta The organ that connects the developing fetus to the mother, providing nutrients and oxygen while removing waste.
nutrition The process of taking in and using food and nutrients to support growth and health.
milk The nutrient-rich liquid produced by female mammals to feed their newborns.
newborn A baby that has just been born and is in the early stages of life.
male The sex of an organism that typically produces sperm.
testes Male reproductive organs that produce sperm and hormones like testosterone.
birth The process of a baby being delivered from the mother's body.
aging The natural process of growing older and experiencing changes in the body over time.
