Barocken 1600-1750

TermDefinition
Vad menas med barocken? Absurd, överdriven eller orimlig. Musikstil med mycket dekorationer och känslor.
Vad menas med ornament? Små utsmyckningar som extra toner för att göra musiken vackrare.
Vad menas med solokonsert? Ett musikstycke då en solist spelar mot en hel orkester.
Vad menas med opera? En berättelse som sjungs med musik, ungefär som en teater med sång i en hög ton.
Vad menas med overtyr? En inledningsmusik i en opera eller ett musikstycke.
Vad menas med recitativ? En sorts sång där man sjunger på ett pratande sätt för att föra handlingen framåt i operan.
Vad menas med aria? En melodiös och känslosam solosång i opera.
Vad menas med kastratsångare? Mäns som som barn kastrerades för att behålla en ljus röst och kunna sjunga vackra höga toner.
Vad menas med polyfon? Musik där flera olika melodier spelas samtidigt, men alla är lika viktiga.
Hur brukar man beskriva att musiken lät under barocken? (vilka karaktärsdrag?) Musiken var pampig, dramatisk och hade mycket dekorationer (ornament). Ofta hördes en tydlig rytm och en melodi som upprepades.

Vilket känt musikstycke skrev han? Drottningsholmsmusiken
Beskriv kort hur samhället såg ut under barocken; Kungen och kyrkan hade mycket makt. Samhället var uppdelat i olika klasser, där de rika levde i lyx medan de flesta var fattiga och arbetade hårt. Musiken spelade ofta för kungar och adel.
