How is a hydrolysis reaction the opposite of a condensation reaction? it adds a water molecule back to the polymer and two monomers are made
What three different sizes do carbohydrates come in? monosaccharides, disaccharides, polysaccharides
What type of fat has a double-bond which allows it to remain liquid at room temperature? Unsaturated fats
What type of lipids provide long-term energy storage, insulation, and waterproofing? fats
What are the four levels of protien structure? primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary
What does water do when it freezes? it expands
What two functions can a polysaccharide have? structural support, and energy storage
