Clayton act addresses specific anti-competitive practices like price discrimination, exclusive dealing, and mergers that could harm competition.
Price discrimination The charging practice by a seller of different prices to different buyers for commodities of similar grade and quality.
Market power The ability to control prices and exclude competitors.
Robinson-Patman act A federal statute designed to eliminate price discrimination in interstate commerce.
Sherman antitrust act A federal statute prohibiting combinations and contracts in restraint of interstate trade.
Consent decrees Informal settlements of enforcement actions brought by agencies.
Freedom of information act Federal law permitting citizens to request documents and records from administrative agencies.
