| conscientious | (adj) Used to describe a person who is wishing to do what is right, especially to do one’s work or duty well and thoroughly. |
| conscious | (adj) Aware of and responding to one’s surroundings; awake. |
| unconscionable | (adj) Not being in agreement with what is right or just. |
| subconscious | (adj) Concerning the part of the mind of which one is not fully aware but which influences one’s actions and feelings. |
| omniscient | (adj) Knowing everything. |
| prescient | (adj) Having or showing knowledge of events before they take place. |
| conscience | (n) An inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior. |
| nescience | (n) Lack of knowledge or awareness. |
| science | (n) Knowledge covering general truths or the operation or general laws especially as obtained and tested through the scientific method. |

| stethoscope | (n) A medical instrument for listening to the action of someone’s heart or breathing. |
| periscope | (n) An apparatus consisting of a tube attached to a set of mirrors or prisms, by which an observer (typically in a submerged submarine or behind a high obstacle) can see things that are otherwise out of sight. |

| gyroscope | (n) Device consisting of a wheel or disk mounted so that it can spin rapidly about an axis that is itself free to alter in direction. |
