rot Latin- “Wheel”
rotund (adj) Round in shape.
rotisserie (n) An appliance fitted with a spit on which food is rotated before or over a source of heat.
rotary (adj) Turning on an axis like a wheel; having a rotating part.
rotunda (n) a round building, usually covered by a dome
rotunda (n) a large round room
rototiller (n) a landscaping machine with rotating blades that life and turn over soil
rotation (n) Completing one turn.
rupt Latin- “To break or burst”
abrupt (adj) Sudden and unexpected; brief to the point of rudeness; curt.
disruptive (adj) To throw into disorder (to “break” order).
erupt (v) to burst forth or cause to burst forth
erupt (v) to break through a surface
rupture (n) a break in peaceful or friendly relations
rupture (n) a breaking or tearing apart
bankrupt (adj) describing a person or organization that is unable to pay outstanding debts
bankrupt (adj) literally broke the bank AKA you’re broke.
interrupt (v) To stop or hinder by breaking in (interrupt a conversation); to break the sameness or course of something.
corruption (n) Physically decay or rotting; dishonest or evil behavior; the causing or someone else to do wrong (bribery); a change from the original or for the worse.
