poten Latin- “Powerful”
despot (n) A ruler or other person who holds absolute power, typically one who exercises it in a cruel or oppressive way.
potentate (n) A monarch or ruler, especially an autocratic one.
potential (n) Latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness.
omnipotent (adj) Having unlimited power; able to do anything.
potency (n) The power of something to affect the mind or body.
bellipotent (adj) mighty in war
subpotent (adj) weaker or more diluted than normal
potent (adj) Having great power, influence, or effect.
pyr Greek- “Heat, Fire”
pyrotechnics (n) A brilliant performance or display of fireworks, especially of a specified skill.
pyrite (n) Fire stone or a common iron sulfide mineral with a brassy metallic luster; used as a source of iron and sulfur.
pyrolysis (n) decomposition brought about by high temperatures
antipyretic (adj) anything of use in preventing or healing burns
pyre (n) wood which has been heaped for burning a dead body; such as , a funeral rite; a pile of burning material, especially a pile of wood on which a dead body is ceremonially cremated.
pyroclastic (adj) Relating to , consisting of fragments of rock erupted by a volcano.
pyromania (n) An abnormal continuous desire to start fires.
