| Air Pressure | A huge body of air that has similar tempature, humidity, and air pressure at any given height |
| altitude | Elevation above sea level |
| wind | The horizantal movement of air from an area of high pressure to an area of lower pressure |
| water cycle | The continual movement of water among earths atmosphere, oceans, and land surface through evaporation, condesation, and percipitaion. |
| evaporation | The proccess by which molucules at the surface of a liquid absorb enough energy to change to gas |
| Condensation | The change in state from a gas to a liquid |
| dew point | The tempeture at which condensation starts |
| humidity | The amount of water vapor in a given volume of air |
| Relative humidity | The percentage of water vapor in the air compared to the minimum amount of water vapor that air can contain at a particuar tempeture |
| Precipitation | Any form of water that falls from clouds aand reaches earths surface as rain, sleet, or hail |
| Air mass | A huge body of air that has similar tempetures, humidity, and pressure at any given height |
| Jet stream | A band of high speed units about 10km above earths surface |
| Front | The boundry unlike air masses meet, but do not mix |
| Cyclone | A swirling center of low air pressure |
| Anticylone | A high pressure center of dry air |
