SLO Terms

TermDefinition
Independent Variable The thing that you/scientist change "The cause" or "What I change"
Control variable The thing that stays the same in the experiment
Dependent variable What you are trying to measure. the data collected "the effect" or "what I observe
Hypothesis An educated guess. a possible explanation that is tested with an experiment.
Data Information gained through observation and measurements
Variable Something in an experiment that can be changed.
quantitative observation observations made using measurements
Qualitative observations Observations using your five senses
DRY Dependent, Response, Y axis
MIX Manipulate, Independent, X axis
