SLO Terms Review

TermDefinition
Independent Variable The thing you/scientist change. "The cause" "What I change"
Control Variable The thing that stays the same in the experiment.
Dependent Variable What you are trying to measure. The data collected. "The effect" "What I observe"
Hypothesis An educated guess. A possible explanation that is tested with an experiment.
Data information gained through observations & measurements.
variable something in an experiment that can be changed.
quantitative observation observations made using measurements.
qualitative observation observations made using your five senses.
