| Gymnosperm | Non-Flowering Plant |
| Angiosperm | Flowering Plant |
| Perfect Flower | A flower with both male & female reproductive parts |
| Imperfect Flower | A flower with either a male portion or female portion but not both |
| Stem | Supports the plant & Transports water |
| Roots | Anchors the plant & Takes in nutrients from soil |
| Leaves | Captures sunlight to make food through photosynthesis |
| Ovary | Ripens into a fruit |
| Seed | The fertilized egg (ovule) from a plant |
| Flower | The colorful part of the plant used to reproduce. |
| Petals | Attracts pollinators through its color and smell |
| Sepals | Found at the bottom of the flower; it helps protect the growing bud |
| Receptacle | Holds major organs; the swollen part of the stem |
| Stamen | The male part of the flower; Contains the anther & filament |
| Pollen | Male Sex Cells (found in the anther) |
| Ovules | Female Sex Cells (found in the ovary) |
| Pistil | The female part of the flower; Contains the stigma, style, and ovary |
| Filament | Supports the anther; A stalk like structure |
| Anther | Structure on top of the filament where pollen is produced |
| Stigma | Sticky structure on top of the style that receives pollen |
| Style | Connects the stigma and the ovary |
| Ovary | Holds the ovules and develops into fruit |
