Population a group of organisms of the same species living in a specific geographical area
Gene A segment of DNA on a chromosome that codes for a specific trait
DNA A complex molecule containing the genetic information that makes up the chromosomes.

Survival of the Fittest Another phrase for natural selection
Homologous structures Structures in different species that are similar because of common ancestry.
Vestigial structures A structure that is present in an organism but no longer serves its original purpose
Structural Adaptations a physical feature of an organism's body having a specific function that contributes to the survival of the organism
