What is a sarcomere? Smallest contractile unit of a muscle fiber / repeating structural unit of myofibril / give banded appearance / composed of myofilaments and z line.
What role does creatine play? It is the initial source of energy for muscle contraction.
What is lactic acid formation? It is anaerobic source of generating ATP.
Where is the latissimus dorsi located? What does it allow you to do? It can be found midway down the back / allows for pull ups / broad back muscle / extends and adducts the arm and rotates arm inwardly.
What is rigor mortis? It occurs in skeletal muscles a few hours after death / decreased ATP and increased permeability to calcium / cross bridges cannot detatch muscles look
What is isometric? It's tension in muscles increases / no movement occurs / pushing one hand against another trying to pick up something / posture
