| verdict | (n) a decision on an issue of fact in a civil or criminal case or an inquest; an opinion or judgment. |
| contradicting | (v) to assert the contrary or opposite of; deny directly; to speak contrary to the assertion of. |
| dictator | (n) a person exercising absolute power, especially a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession. |
| prediction | (n) a statement of what will happen in the future. |
| indict | (v) to charge with an offense or crime; accuse of wrongdoing; castigate; criticize. |
| benediction | (n) the utterance or bestowing of a blessing, especially at the end of a religious service. |
