dict Latin- “To say or speak”
verdict (n) a decision on an issue of fact in a civil or criminal case or an inquest; an opinion or judgment.
contradicting (v) to assert the contrary or opposite of; deny directly; to speak contrary to the assertion of.
dictator (n) a person exercising absolute power, especially a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession.
prediction (n) a statement of what will happen in the future.
indict (v) to charge with an offense or crime; accuse of wrongdoing; castigate; criticize.
benediction (n) the utterance or bestowing of a blessing, especially at the end of a religious service.
doc Latin- “To teach”
document (n) any written item, such as a book, article, or letter, especially of a factual or informative nature.
doctrine (n) a particular principle, position, or policy taught or advocated, as of religion or government.
docile (adj) Easily managed or handled; tractable; readily trained or taught; teachable
indoctrinate (v) to instruct in a doctrine, principle; ideology, etc., especially to imbue with a specific partisan or biased belief or point of view.
documentary (n) a film based on or re-creating an actual event, era, life story, etc., that reports to be factually accurate and contains no fictional elements.
doctor (n) a person who has been awarded a doctorate’s degree; a person licensed to practice medicine, as a surgeon, dentist, or veterinarian
doctorate (n) the degree, title or rank of a doctor
