| Refraction- | The bending of waves as they pass from one medium to another at an angle. |
| Standing Wave- | A pattern of vibration that resembles a stationary wave. |
| Reflection- | The bouncing back of a wave when it meets a surface or boundary. |
| Constructive Interference- | An interference that increases amplitude. |
| Destructive Interference- | An interference that decreases amplitude. |
| Principle of Superposition- | The method of adding crests and troughs of interfering waves together to describe a new wave. |
