| Erosion | The movement of rocks/sediment by an agent of erosion (wind, waves, streams, glaciers, landslides, etc.) |
| Deposition | The settling of material |
| Chemical Weathering | happens with water and waters interaction with materials (acid rain, rust) |
| Physical Weathering | happens from force and movement |
| Mass movement | landslides and avalanches due to gravity |
| slope | the angle of the land. No slope would be flat land |
| Sand dune | depositional feature of wind--dry and above land |
| Sandbar | Depositional feature of waves, wet in the ocean |
| velocity | speed of a stream |
| Meander | a bend in a stream. Streams are faster on the outside curves. |
| Porosity | percent of open space |
| Permeability | ability of water to pass through |
| Infiltration | Water passing through the ground |
| Runoff | inability for water to infiltrate so it slides off of Earth's surface |
