aer & ambi, amphi

aer Greek “Air, Atmosphere”
aerobic (adj) Pertaining to or caused by the presence of oxygen; (of an organism or tissue) requiring the presence of air or free oxygen for life.
aerodynamics (adj) Having a shape that reduces drag when moving through the air.
aerosol (n) A gaseous or airborne cloud of particulate matter, either as a solid, liquid, or gas, which forces another substance out of a spray can.
aerate (v) To put air or a gas into (something, such as solid or a liquid).
aerie (n) The nest of a bird (such as an eagle or hawk) built high up on a cliff or on the top of a mountain.
ambi, amphi Greek- “Both”
ambivalent (adj) Having mixed feelings or conflicting ideas about something or someone.
ambiguity (n) Uncertainty or inexactness of meaning in language.
ambidextrous (adj) Describing a person who is able to use the right and left hands equally well.
amphibious (adj) Relating to, living in, or suited for both land and water.
amphitheater (n) A round or oval building, typically unroofed, with a central space for the presentation of dramatic or sporting events. Tiers of seats for spectators surround the central space so events can be seen from “both” sides.
