| Disease | Any abnormal condition that affects health of an organism and is characterized by specific signs & symptoms. |

| Disease Prevention | Taking steps to reduce the risk of getting sick and spreading germs. |

| Lipids | A family of organic compounds composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Not dissolvable in water, organic compounds triglycerides |

| What are some examples of Complex carbs. | Brown rice, lentils, apples and beans. complex cards provide more fiber which takes longer to digest & cause blood glucose to go up slower. |
