adaptation- evolution of a structure, behavior or internal process.
biology- the study of life
develoment- all of the changes that take place during the life of an organism.
Envrioment- biotic and abiotic surroundings to which an organism must adujust.
Evolution- gradual accumulant of adaptation over time
Growth- increase in the amount of living materal and formation of new structers in an organism
homostasis- a characteristic of all living things
Organism- anything that possesses all the characteristics of life
Organization- orderly sructers of cells in a organism
reproduction- production of offspring by an organism
resonse- an organism's reaction to a change in its internal or external envrioment
species- group of organisms that can interbreed and produce fertile offspring in nature
stimulus- any condition in an envrioment that requires an organism to adjust
control- the standard in which all of the conditions are kept the same
data- information from an experiment
dependent variable- the condition that results from changes in the independent variable.
experiment- procedure that tests a hypothesis by collecting information under controlled conditions
hypothesis- explanation for a question or probblem that can be formally tested
independent variable- in a experimant the condition that is changed
saftey symbol- a symbol that warns you
scientific methods- a series of steps
theory- explanation of a ntural phenomenon
ethics- moral principals
techology- application of scientific research
