What does CAB stand for? C - Compressions, A - open Airways, B - Breathe; used to know the steps for rescue breathing
What does ABC stand for? A - Alone, B - Back, C - Crib; used to ensure safe bedding for an infant
What are the steps to the Heimlich maneuver on an infant? Check if the scene is safe, tap bottom of foot to check for response, call 911, strike 5 times in middle of back, finger thrust 5 times in the middle of the chest, continue until paramedics arrive or object dislodges
How do you hold an infant before performing Heimlich maneuver on it? Wrap your hand around their body so your hand is supporting their head/neck, slightly tilt their body so their head is facing the ground
If you need to do the Heimlich maneuver on a larger or pregnant person, where would you place your hands? On their chest
How many fingers do you use when using the Heimlich maneuver on an infant? 2 fingers 1.5 inches deep
