QuestionAnswer
what are the 3 functions of roots? anchor a plant into the ground, absorb water and minerals, and sometimes store food.
what are the 2 functions of stems? provides support for the plant, and carries substances between the plants roots and leaves.
what is the function of leaves? to capture the suns energy and carry out the food making process of photosynthesis.
what are the 3 basic parts of seeds? an embryo, stored food, and a seed coat.
what are 3 ways that a seed can be dispersed? they can be hooked on clothes and fall off in a new area, wind can disperse seeds, and waves in the ocean can disperse seeds.
know and be able to name the structures of a flower? practice.
know what each part of the flower does? practice.
