| Stomata | The stoma open and close to control when gases enter and leave the leaf |
| Transpiration | The process by which water evaporates from the plants leaves is called Transpiration |
| Embryo | The young plant that develops from the zygote, or fertilized egg, called the embryo |
| Germination | The sprouting of the embryo out of a seed; occurs when the embryo resumes its growth following dormancy |
