| Nonvascular Plants | Plants that lack true vascular tissues |
| Rhizoids | A thin root like structure anchor the moss and absorbs water and nutrients from the soil. |
| Vascular Plants | Plants with true vascular tissue |
| Phloem | The vascular tissue through which food moves |
| Xylem | Water and minerals travel in the vascular tissue called xylem |
| Frond | Fern leaves that are. Divided into many smaller parts that look like small leaves |
| Pollen | Tiny structures that contain the cells that will later become sperm cells. |
| Seed | A structure that contains a young plant inside a protective covering |
| Gymnosperm | A seed plant that produces naked seeds. |
| Angiosperm | Flowering plants that produce flowers and seeds that are enclosed in fruits |
