Introduction to Life Science

data the facts, figures, and other evidence gathered through observations
conclusion a summary of what you have learned from a scientific experiment
observing using one or more of your senses to gather information
manipulated or independent variable the one variable that is purposely changed to test a hypothesis
quantitative observations deal with a number or amount
goal of technology is to improve the way people live
model a representation of a complex process
inferring explaining or interpreting the things you observe based on reasoning from what you already know
life science is also known as biology
