| Nonvascular Plant | Plants that have no true vascular tissue |
| Rhizoid | Anchor the moss and absorb water and nutrients |
| Vascular Plants | Vascular plants are plants with true vascular tissue |
| Phloem | The vascular tissue in which food moves |
| Xylem | The roots that absorb water and minerals from the soil |
| Frond | Fronds are divided into many smaller parts that look like smaller leaves that make ferns |
| Pollen | Pollen are tiny structures that contain the cells that will later become sperm cells |
| Seed | A seed is a structure that contains a young plant inside a protective covering |
| Gymnosperm | A gymnosperm is a seed plant that produces naked seeds |
| Angiosperm | Angiosperms, or flowering plants, share two important characteristics that are the cotyledon and the monocots |
