scientific method

QuestionAnswer
what does Dependent Varible mean? the data that is collected
what does Indepent Varible mean? the one thing that gets changed in an experiment
Control Varible is.... the things that stay constant throughout the experiment
Control group is.... the one thing or group that does not get experimented on
Observation- what you observe by using your senses
Infernce- an educated guess based on your observation
what is the first step to the scienctific mathod? state your problem
what is the second step to the scienctific method? get information on your problem
the third step to the scientific method? make a hypothesis
the fourth step to the scientific method? experiment it
5th step to the scientific method? observe your experiment
6th step to the scientific method? organize and analyze your results
7th step to the scintific method? make a conclusion
"If Then" statement is for what? your hypothesis
Spontaneous Generation is what? the theory that living things came from nonliving thing
