| Choroid Plexus | collection of blood vessels and cells that produces cerebrospinal fluid |
| primary somatosensory cortex | Processes sensory information from the body such as pain, touch, and other senses |
| cauda equina | Resembles a horse tail- bundle of nerves at the end of the spinal cord |
| Retina | Tissue in the back of the eye that converts images into electric signals for the brain |
| Olfactory neurons | located in the upper nasal cavity these neurons allow individuals to smell |
| Cochlea | Located in the inner ear creates nerve impulses to sound vibrations |
| Epiglottis | leaf shaped elastic cartilage which protects the larynx and assists in swallowing |
| Microscopic cilia | Hair-like organelles that assists in moving mucous towards the pharynx |
| cribriform plate | Part if the ethmoid bone which separates the brain from the nasal cavity |
