| revolution | the movement of one object around another object |
| season | a period of the year with certain patterns of weather and day lengths |
| solstice | A day of the year when the noon sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky |
| equinox | a day when neither hemisphere of Earth is tilted toward or away from the sun, and day and night are the same length |
| tide | the predictable rise and fall of ocean water that occurs along Earth’s coastline |
| spring tide | a tide with the biggest difference between high and low tide |
| neap tide | a tide with the least difference between consecutive high and low tides |
