Road Scholar Satellite Photo/Internet maps

TermDefinition
Feature Identification is also known as “ground truth analysis”
Distance The distance to a satellite is determined in code measurement by measuring how long time it takes for the satellite signal to reach the receiver
Scales A map scale is a ratio between a small unit of measurement, like a centimeter or inch, to a larger unit like a kilometer or a mile
Photo time of day identification Try to find objects that line up in the same direction as the shadow goes.
Internet map symbols A symbol or pictorial representation of something else
Road travel between points A series of continuous movements your vehicle will take to go to a particular location
Inferences based on satellite photos The act of examining photographic images, particularly airborne and space borne
